1、 Flat pushing wheelchair

2、 Pushing wheelchairs up and down slopes (steps)

(1) When pushing a wheelchair uphill, family members or caregivers must lean forward and walk straight in the forward direction to prevent overturning.

(2) When pushing the wheelchair onto the steps, family members or caregivers need to face the steps and use their feet to tilt the wheelchair backwards. Push the wheelchair until the casters cross the steps and then lower the casters. Continue to push forward until the casters are tangent to the steps, and then lift the casters up.

3、 Pushing a wheelchair downhill (step)

(1) When going downhill, have the wheelchair user face backwards and face uphill for care. Have family members or caregivers control the speed of the wheelchair. Wheels with running brakes can use running brakes to control the speed when going downhill. When the slope is small, the wheelchair user can face forward during the downhill process. Parents or caregivers must hold onto the handle and control the speed.

(2) When stepping down the stairs, face the wheelchair towards the steps, first tilt the wheelchair backwards, then slowly push the wheelchair forward to make the big wheels slowly fall to the ground, and then lay the wheelchair flat.

4、 Pushing a wheelchair onto and off the elevator

(3) The caregiver's right leg extends between the elderly person's legs, presses against the affected knee of the elderly person, and puts both arms around the elderly person's waist or lifts the belt.
