Marathon in wheelchair makes people feel indomitable

There are four days left before the countdown of Jingzhou marathon, but this kind of long-distance running seems to be an impossible task for the disabled with lower limbs. Today, we will introduce two special competitors. Who are they?

At 9:30 a.m. in Jingzhou Sports Center, we met Chen Dalei and Tan Zhiwen who were training. They are in wheelchairs, turning them at full speed with both hands. They are eager to catch up with each other. Tan Zhiwen, 24, told us that this was his second signing with Jinma.

A car accident six years ago made Tan Zhiwen unable to stand on his own. Although he is in a wheelchair, his optimistic and cheerful character always infects us. Tan Zhiwen is very confident in Jinma.

Running friend Chen Dalei is a public security officer. He told us that he used to be an extreme sports fan. Two years ago, while skiing on the mountain, he suddenly deviated from the track and fell off a cliff more than 20 meters high. When he woke up, he found that his legs had lost consciousness forever. He didn't give up because of the love of his relatives and friends. When he was in a wheelchair, he was still optimistic and confident, and continued his hobbies.

Chen didn't have a day off after signing up for the marathon. Even though his hands were blistered by the wheels, he still ran 10 kilometers a day.

As the only disabled person who has signed up for the all horse race track, Chen also specially prepared a wheelchair for better preparation.

It is understood that Chen Dalei and Tan Zhiwen also gathered more than 20 disabled runners from all over the country to participate in the Beijing horse race. They will use wheelchairs instead of feet to realize their dreams.
