Overseas, Feb. 22 a 14-year-old boy in Tennessee has launched a "wheelchair day" challenge to state legislators. Lawmakers accepted the challenge and held activities related to wheelchair work.

Alex Johnson, who has a rare bone disease, can only live in a wheelchair, CBS News Network reported Monday. The eighth grader wanted lawmakers to understand what it's like to do their daily activities in a wheelchair, so he challenged them to try to "spend a day in a wheelchair.".

State representative Clark Boyd took Johnson's challenge to organize the event in the Tennessee house of Representatives. According to a press release released by the House Republican caucus in Tennessee, a total of 10 members of the house of Representatives agreed to use wheelchairs in the office for one day.

"I thought it would be difficult, but I didn't know it was frustrating just to walk around in a wheelchair," Boyd said at a news conference. "It was an eye opening experience."

At the same time, Johnson founded an organization called team Alex to make the world more inclusive.

Johnson had been using Walker until the first grade before he changed his wheelchair life. A few years later, he launched the challenge of "spending a day in a wheelchair" to show students his life from the perspective of his own.

"I plan to spend a day in my wheelchair to raise awareness of this mobile device." "My challenge allows people to see the difficulties faced by wheelchair users in their daily lives in real life, and I hope that through this challenge, the world can become more accessible," Johnson said

The Mobil foundation provided wheelchairs for delegates to the challenge. From the photos on the day of the event, it can be seen that the members of the conference are sitting in the borrowed wheelchair and communicating with each other.

"Our entire community is very supportive of Alex and proud of his efforts to make people more aware of the lives of disabled people." "He's an amazing young man who has found a way to turn disease into ability to inspire others," Boyd said
