1) Transportation of manual wheelchair
a. The manual wheelchair shall be transported as checked baggage.
b. The wheelchair used by the sick and disabled passengers can be transported free of charge and is not included in the free luggage allowance.
c. For passengers who agree and arrange in advance to use their own wheelchairs during boarding (such as group wheelchair passengers), their wheelchairs shall be delivered at the boarding gate when they board.
2) Transportation of electric wheelchair
a. Electric wheelchair should be transported as checked baggage.
b. The electric wheelchair used in the travel of the sick and disabled passengers can be transported free of charge and is not included in the free luggage allowance.
c. When the electric wheelchair is consigned, its packaging must meet the following requirements:
(1) For wheelchair equipped with leakproof battery, the battery poles must be able to prevent short circuit, and the battery has been firmly installed on the wheelchair.
(2) Wheelchairs equipped with non leakproof batteries must remove the batteries. Wheelchairs can be transported as unrestricted checked luggage, and the discharged batteries must be packed in the following solid hard packages for transportation: these packages must be tight, can prevent the leakage of battery fluid, and be fixed in appropriate ways, such as using strapping, fixing clips or brackets to fix them on the container board or in the cargo hold (not supported by goods or luggage).
The battery must be protected from short circuit, and it must be fixed in the package vertically, and the surrounding area should be filled with suitable adsorption material, so that it can absorb all the liquid leaked from the battery.
These packages must be marked "battery, wet, wheel chair" or "battery, wet, with mobility aid". The label of "corrosivity" and upward label of package shall be added.
