For those with good upper limb and trunk functions and normal hand eye coordination, they can not only use wheelchairs instead of walking, but also cross the threshold, go up and down the slope, and even use the following technologies to pass through the road teeth, wide steps, walking stairs and elevators.
Wheelchair access to single step
1. Go up a single step (or curb). The big wheel balance technology is used to lift the small wheel of the wheelchair off the ground. Under the condition of maintaining the balance of the big wheel, the hand push ring is driven by both hands to make the small wheel ride on the steps, and then the small wheel drives forward along the inertia and inclines forward to drive up the steps smoothly. When stepping down the steps, use the large wheel balance technology to make the small wheel off the ground, control the hand push ring with both hands, and adjust the posture of the trunk to maintain balance, so that the large wheel can drive down the steps smoothly, and then put down the small wheel.
2. Step up and down. If there are no handrails on both sides, only the wheelchair can be used to drive up the steps with large depth and single step for large wheels to park for a short time. When climbing the multi-level steps, first face the steps with your back. Use the large wheel balance technology to lift the small wheel of the wheelchair off the ground and keep it. Pull the wheelchair up the steps step by step in a backward way. When the small wheel passes the last step, it can be put down. The method of lowering multi-step is similar to that of single step.
