The court equipment of wheelchair basketball

The wheelchair basketball court of the Paralympic Games is the same as that of the Olympic Games. Wheelchairs are special equipment in competitions, and there are the following requirements:

1. The thickness of wheelchair cushion shall not exceed 10 cm; For athletes with 3.5, 4 and 4.5 points, the cushion thickness shall not exceed 5cm. No wood can be attached to the seat

A board or something hard. The cushion should be even in thickness and its hardness can be folded diagonally.

The distance from the highest point of the horizontal cross bar in front of the wheelchair footrest to the ground shall not exceed 11cm.

2. The height of the support rails on both sides of the wheelchair seat from the ground shall not exceed 53 cm (vertical distance from the surface to the ground).

3. The wheelchair shall have 3~4 wheels - 2 big wheels installed at the rear side of the wheelchair, and 1 or 2 small wheels installed at the front side of the wheelchair. Maximum of big wheel including tire

The diameter is 69 cm. The overall height of the wheelchair shall not exceed 53cm, and there shall be no protrusions or sharp objects.

4. Each large wheel must have a hand wheel.

5. A protective device must be installed under the footrest of the wheelchair to prevent damage to the playing field.

6. It is not allowed to install control equipment, power unit, brake and gear on the chair.

7. It is not allowed to use tires that can leave traces on the site.

8. The armrests and other upper body support devices on the wheelchair shall not exceed the length of the athlete's legs and torso when sitting in the wheelchair naturally.

9. One or two anti tilting wheels can be installed behind the wheelchair to protect the safety of athletes, but the height of the surface below the wheel from the ground shall not exceed 2cm.

10. The front or front side of the wheelchair can be equipped with a protective horizontal cross bar, which can be straight or curved, but cannot be pointed and extended forward.

11. Because wheelchair basketball shooting requires a certain preparation process, the referee should not count three seconds when the player starts shooting.
