Electric wheelchairs and electric scooters

The electric wheelchair is a modern high-tech product that has been upgraded from the traditional manual wheelchair by adding a high-performance power drive unit, intelligent control devices, batteries, and other components. It usually has four wheels, including two main wheels and two auxiliary wheels. Visually, the electric wheelchair resembles a chair.

The electric scooter can be considered a broad term for the electric wheelchair, but it has changed from the single-hand operation of the electric wheelchair to a trendy dual-hand operation. However, it also requires a higher level of control from the operator. Electric scooters usually have three, four, or even six wheels. Therefore, simply looking at the number of wheels cannot distinguish between an electric wheelchair and an electric scooter. In addition, the electric scooter appears more like a car from the outside.
