Regular maintenance of wheelchairs and cushions can prolong the service life of wheelchairs, save maintenance costs, and prevent users from physical injury or stress injury.

(1) Cleaning wheelchairs and cushions: In order to prevent metal parts from rusting, wood parts and fabrics from rotting and dirt scratching causing damage to moving parts, it is better to clean wheelchairs and cushions once a month. When cleaning, wash and dry with warm water and a little soap. The cushion should be dried in a cool place to avoid direct sunlight.

(2) Oiling the moving parts: In order to ensure the smooth movement of the moving parts and not rust, it is necessary to add lubricant once every three months. When the wheelchair is completely aired, lubricate all the moving parts, but do not lubricate the bearings, so as not to wash away the oil that the bearings normally work.

(3) Inflate the tire: If the wheelchair is an inflatable tire, it needs to be inflated regularly or when the tire is flat. When tire pressure is weak, braking effect is poor and driving is not easy. It is necessary to check tire pressure regularly.

(4) Tighten nuts and bolts: Loose bolts will cause instability of relevant parts, noise, user discomfort, and wear or loss of parts. It is better to check all nuts and bolts once a month and tighten loose nuts and bolts, but not too tight.
